The Gardiner Professional Firefighters Local 2303 have help in increasing the chances of survival if someone suffers a "Sudden Cardiac Arrest" at the Gardiner Area High School. The members of Local 2303 decided to use proceeds raised during its most recent fundraising drive to outfit the school with two Automatic External Defibrilators (AED's). These devices have proven to be a key part in the survival of victims of Cardiac arrest. The members of Local 2303 immediately recognized the need to have AED's here because of the variety of public use. Each model cost approx $1000 dollars and includes all the accessories and storage cases. One AED was given to the Nurses office and the other was issued to the athletic trainer for use at home and away sporting events. Local 2303 would like to thank all residents and community businesses that made this project possible. With your support, the community has one more safe gathering place.
